Northside Changemakers Program Returns
Northside Rising is excited to announce that the third round of The Northside Changemakers Program is now open for application.
The program is open to all community members.
This program is designed to grow the skills, connections and confidence participants need to put community hope into action. Along the way, participants will receive training, coaching, and seed funding for a community project that they lead. They will finish the program with certified training, including: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Mental
Health First Aid and Naloxone.
“All community members have the potential to be Changemakers: agents of change, each with gifts, care, hope, and motivation that they can contribute to the community. A little support can mobilize Changemakers and can have exponential impacts on the community; especially when Changemakers work together and support each other.”
Jody Nelson, Project Lead
The Changemakers Program is a good fit for people looking to get involved in the community and connect with others, while developing a community project serving the Northside.
“I was looking for more ways to get involved in the community and it felt like the perfect opportunity. The Changemakers Program has really given me direction and shown me how much one person can make a difference.”
Felicity Clarkson, Past Participant
