Atlantic Changemakers Council

Inspiring Communities has learned a lot from our experiences with networks over the last four years. We aim to apply those lessons as we continue in our role as Atlantic Node for SI Canada.

Are you an experienced changemaker interested in contributing to the growth of connections and collaborations in the field of social innovation in Atlantic Canada? Inspiring Communities is convening a council of 12 to serve 1 or 2 year terms to help in our work as Atlantic Node for Social Innovation Canada. 

We aspire to recruit a mix of people that represents the past, present and future of the region across many axes. This means, in part, including voices from all four provinces in Atlantic Canada, and specifically and intentionally reaching out to representatives of:

• Francophone communities
• Indigenous communities
• Black Atlantic communities

Through actions such as administering future community seed grants, this council of 12 will support our work in better animating regional change-making. Council members will be compensated for four 3-hour meetings a year.

We will make selections and announce the first folks (3-4 across provinces) by June 6 2022.
