The Power of Stories
So much of our impact can be shared in the stories that emerge from our work. Especially in the early phases, Collective Impact is about building the foundational trust needed to work together. Changes based on new and strengthened relationships can be different to quantify, so stories are needed to help illustrate their effects.
This section is a compilation of the stories that illustrate our community impact in our Collective Impact initiatives. They profile the relationships, small wins and activities that are helping us move down the path of tackling our priority issues.

Or perhaps it’s the landscape and architecture of the place? No matter how much all of these differ from each other, a community’s identity is always weaved with a complex combination of these identifiers… and then some!
Rising Tide Festival brings community together to understand harmful substance use
May 16, 2019 A night of music, art and poetry sparked hope on the Northside as community members connected in the EfflorARC venue at the Five Eleven Youth and Family Centre. Together we learned about some causes of harmful substance use, how criminalizing users is detrimental to their recovery, and how we can better support folks who are struggling as a community.
